What to Do After a Plumber Opens the Wall
Before the drywall is closed, confirm the plumbing or inspection work is complete and the opening can be safely patched.
Do Not Close Unfinished Access
Confirm the plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, or inspector no longer needs the opening before permanent closure begins.
Send Photos Before Scheduling
Include the opening, nearby framing or backing, the full wall or ceiling, a measurement, and the surrounding texture. Mention whether insulation, trim, cabinetry, tile, or paint is involved.
Plan the Finish Boundary
The patch may end paint-ready, primed, or painted depending on the written scope and how consistent the finish needs to be.
