Why a Drywall Patch Still Shows
A visible patch is often caused by texture, plane, primer, paint sheen, or old repair choices rather than a single obvious defect.
Texture and Plane
A patch can be technically sound but still visible if the repaired area is proud, low, over-sanded, under-feathered, or textured differently from the surrounding wall.
Primer and Paint
Existing paint can change from age, cleaning, sunlight, sheen, touchups, and prior batches. Missing primer can cause flashing or picture framing when light hits the wall.
The Repair Boundary
Small spot work is practical for many repairs, but broader wall-to-corner or ceiling-plane painting may be recommended when finish consistency is the main goal.

Small, clearly visible repairs may be reviewed from photos. Larger, water-related, multi-unit, or approval-driven scopes may need a service visit or the $250 Site Evaluation + Written Bid Package.
